La profesora

Brittany came down last weekend. We had a good time at the craft show and even sold a few things, too. I posted some pictures of the show and what we did to entertain ourselves for 8 hours. I dunno what happened, but Brit ended up catching something and went home with no voice 🙁 I’m sorry, B!! I hope you are feeling better.

Yesterday I had to sub at a local high school. It was SUPPOSED to be a half day. Notice the caps. It ended up being non-stop subaction from 8:15-4:00. It was crazy! Usually, teachers and subs have a planning bell that they use to eat their lunch, PEE, or just take a break from the craziness, but noooo, not yesterday. I guess it’s good, because I will get paid for a full day, but it would’ve been nice to have some lunch :-p

Today I have middle school Spanish. I’m excited. I love being able to use my knowledge–what’s left of it anyway. Next week I’ll be a kindergarten assistant all week. The neat thing is that ANOTHER school just called me to be a teacher’s assistant next week also… obviously I had to turn one of those down, but I was flattered to be called 🙂

Ok… gotta get ready to teach the pre-teens now. Maybe I’ll eat before I sub.

I love this picture of Brittany. She looks like she’s up to no good.

A Day at the Park

Peter and I took the dogs (all 3 of them) to the dog park this weekend. Candy didn’t really know what to think of it, so she stayed close to us the whole time. Peter’s friend, Roy, came along with his 2 miniature shelties, Gracie and Hunter. So cute 🙂

My family decided to put in a new fake-wooden floor this weekend. Peter had already put one in his house, so he was the “expert”, and since he already knew how to do it, he basically installed ours for us. My mom and dad are taking him out to dinner with us as a thank you gift. The floor looks really great.. I’ll have to take a pic.

Some dog park pics are below. I also added one of Petri, because he loves attention.

Financial Aid (aka “The Monday Job”) tomorrow and then chorus tomorrow night. Exciting!
