A Day at the Park

Peter and I took the dogs (all 3 of them) to the dog park this weekend. Candy didn’t really know what to think of it, so she stayed close to us the whole time. Peter’s friend, Roy, came along with his 2 miniature shelties, Gracie and Hunter. So cute 🙂

My family decided to put in a new fake-wooden floor this weekend. Peter had already put one in his house, so he was the “expert”, and since he already knew how to do it, he basically installed ours for us. My mom and dad are taking him out to dinner with us as a thank you gift. The floor looks really great.. I’ll have to take a pic.

Some dog park pics are below. I also added one of Petri, because he loves attention.

Financial Aid (aka “The Monday Job”) tomorrow and then chorus tomorrow night. Exciting!

What? You want a demerit?

Sometimes subbing is really fun, and the kids are great.
Sometimes it makes me want to claw my eyes out.

Can you guess which kind of day I had?

Tell us a little about yourself…

I’ve heard that phrase about 90 times in the past 2 days. The interviews went well… I think. Who really knows? I ended up interviewing with 3 schools, BUT one of them actually told me right in the middle of it, “Oh, yea… so we’re not hiring this year.” Now, the first thing that comes to my mind is… why are you at a job fair if you don’t need teachers? I kind of wish they told me before I signed up with them, but maybe somehow it will turn out in my favor. Networking? Eh, we’ll see.

There are free camera classes on Saturdays. I haven’t decided if I want to go or not. Saturday.. hmm.. sleep late or get up early and drive to Virginia Beach? Toughie. We’ll see who wins–Lazy Lauren or Motivated Lauren.

I’ve decided (for about the 10 millionth time) that Zach Braff is a good-looking man. Mmm mm. Something about those Jewish boys. Maybe it’s because I’m Catholic…? I’ll keep my man though. He has nicer teeth. See entry below.

Oy.

Ok, so I just typed this whole entry and then my Firefox closed. I HATE when that happens!!

Summary:
I had the first part of my interview today. I blabbed the whole time. It’s hard not to blab when you have to answer 35978290568432 questions that are as vague as crap. Especially when you don’t even know if you are being listened to, because the person is writing down everything you say. So who knows?

I bought a Nikon D50 yesterday. I needed to get my mind off of the stress and onto something artsy. I sprung for the fancier lens instead of the cheaper one.. and anyone who knows me would know that I love to hoard my money and will usually buy the cheaper of the 2 things. So, yea. It was a big deal. Peter and I spent most of yesterday taking pictures of random things to test out the gagillion features that we never heard of (–Peter’s dad was a professional photographer, so he knows a little about cameras). I don’t expect to be a fancypants photographer. My goal is to be able to take a nice picture of my brother for his high school graduation in June. Doable? I think so.

Alright, guys… I’m gonna run before this thing restarts and I have to type all of this again.
