That’s one colossal cookie.

Peter and I made colossal chocolate chip cookies tonight. They look more like pies than cookies, which is fine by me, because everyone likes a cookie–especially a big one. I also bought a bubble blower–the Gazillion Bubble Blower, I think. I have to say… it blows a gazillion bubbles. The dogs (Lennon and Lily) went nuts over it. Definitely worth the 10 bucks. Peter wants some artwork in his house. His walls are very empty, so he has designated me as the interior decorator. I already painted a 4-piece set for the living room, painted a copy of a vintage French wine poster for the bathroom and designed the bathroom, and designed the kitchen. Now I get to create pictures to display in the “pool room” aka the dining room. Here are some possiblities below. Tell me what you think, honestly, because these things might be hanging on a wall somewhere.

It’s a good thing I like yogurt.

Last week was filled with subbing for a kindergarten class. The same teacher was out all week, so I was there for the whole week. The crazy thing was that those cute little kids gave me strep throat. So my job that pays me about $9.00/hour ended up putting me out of work this week. My throat was huuuuuge inside, especially around the uvula aka dangly thing. I know you were dying to know that :-p I thought that I hurt my throat from eating too much wasabi sauce at the Chinese food buffet… ok, maybe I should explain. Lately, Peter and I have been having these crazy Lets-see-who-can-eat-more-of-the-ridiculously-hot-or-spicy-food contests. The first night was habanero sauce. We did pretty well, although we joked about how spicy the sauce would be the 2nd time around. I know–that’s gross, but c’mon… a little funny. I digress. So the wasabi sauce contest was fun, but I ended up almost having wasabi coming out of my nose, which definitely did not feel good. When my throat hurt the next day, I thought it was from the wicked green sauce. When I woke up the following day and couldn’t swallow anything and had a fever of 101.1, I thought maybe I should head to the doctor in the morning. So, yea. Strep throat. Weeeeee! It gave me an excuse to eat yogurt, pudding, icecream, and popsicles.

I invited Peter over to watch Scrubs. We both had a popsicle while we sat on opposite ends of the room–so he wouldn’t get the Ebola virus, of course.

I’ve been doing a lot of work at home this week for ECPI. I’m getting lots of financial aid stuff done, so hopefully they will continue to provide me with work for the remainder of the week. I’m not so sure if I want to substitute teach this week and then hurt my throat by having to tell kids to stop throwing spitballs all day long. I may just make myself useful at home instead of putting my crappy immune system in the petri dish again.

I got my buttload’o’beads today. I found this website that sells beads at ridiculously low prices and went crazy ordering them. I ordered $25.00 worth, which actually isn’t a lot, but this site sells some types of them for like $0.55 for 106 beads. Usually they are like $.05 to $.10 per bead, so this was a big deal. No more bead talk.

I made a pretty vase of flowers from Michael’s. I have been eyeing these silk Cali Lilies that were kind of expensive (1.97 a piece). They went on sale for $.97, so I caved. I made a beaaaautiful arrangement if I do say so myself.

Ok, time to get to bed. I don’t wanna kill myself this week. Night!
